Automating Proof of Concepts using Azure and .NET Core
For every great idea you have, sometimes the hardest part is putting together a proof-of-concept so you can “sell” everyone in your organization on your idea. One of the great things about Azure is that you have access to an elastic environment where you can deploy anything to support and prove your idea. As an Azure instructional designer and consultant, Sidney spends every working day building lab simulations, proof-of-concepts and test workloads that need to be designed, built and distributed within days.
In this talk, Sidney will share with you a lot of tricks and tips he’s learned from building these environments over the years. This talk will show you how you can develop and deploy test .NET Core applications using only the Azure Portal and Docker containers. He will also show you how you can build a set of services, extract them into an orchestration file and redeploy them for a client.
After you learn how to automatically deploy services, you will see how to deploy data and code as part of the same unattended Azure deployment. Finally, you will get a glimpse into Azure policies, initiatives and RBAC and how they are used to create a locked-down sandbox environment.
